One of the best Celtic Designs (knots etc) available!!!!!
I purchased the Celtic Designs Coloring Book because I have an interest in all things Celtic and love coloring books. This one does not disappoint with its thick paper, perforated, one-sided pages, and high quality images. Many of the mythical animal images remind me of those in the Book of Kells and the Celtic knot work is simply gorgeous.This is not one of biggest coloring books you will find at just 31 pages. However, there is plenty of content on each page to offer much needed stress relief. There is also a wide variety of difficulty levels. From beginner to expert, it is a coloring book to start out with and to progress and hone one's skills. Just don't expect to see any of the (American) stereotypical Irish-Scottish-Welsh images: pots of gold, four leaf clovers, claddaghs, leprechauns, etc. My only wish would have been to have a tree of life included.
I love PPP coloring books. the pictures in them are beautiful and crisp. The paper they're printed on is smooth and thick. It can handle Sharpies without runover. However, they still bleed through the back, so use a blotter sheet of scrap paper underneath, so you don't ruin the next page or your coloring surface.The finished pictures turn out well, and are suitable for framing. The perforated pages remove with ease, and since they're micro - perforated, there's not a ratty edge.Most of the photos used are stock photos, so they would not only be suitable for gift giving, but for sale also.
This is a great book. I always loved coloring as a kid and now I can as an adult. I like coloring designs rather than people so this book is great. There are some very intricate patterns and some that are a bit easier too. The paper in this is thicker than my other books which is nice. As you color, the page behind the one you are on gets imprinted to the back of the page you are on. This does not in anyway affect the designs or look of the finished or unfinished page. You can put a piece of paper behind it if it bothers you but it is not a problem for me. It actually looks kind of cool.
I love every design in this book! I haven't felt that way about any of the 45 books I have purchased so far. The paper is exceptional quality. I would recommend this book if you like Celtic knots and crosses and the Celtic style in general.
This is a nice book, printed on good-quality paper, perforated for easy removal, and printed only on one side of the paper. As usual, I recommend that a waste sheet be used to avoid bleed-thru when using markers or gel pens. My only issue with the book is that the designs are all pretty repetitive. If the paper weren't so heavy, a completed design could be used to wrap a small gift or make an origami figure, but the paper is too heavy for either of these things. Sometimes, repetition is nice; but my personal preference is to actually color a PICTURE that may ultimately be framed for display or a gift.
I haven't started on this yet but I looked through it and I LOVE the designs! I really like that the pages are one-sided too. I don't have to worry about markers bleeding through the other side. Can't wait to get started! (I have to finish my Valentines coloring first!
I was kinda grossed out. This book arrived in a thick plastic bag (which was new on me, my others kinda just came thrown in the box). Inside this opaque bag was what I can only describe as sand? Maybe big salt crystals? All inside there. It had scuffed the book cover and poked tiny holes in the plastic bag. SO WEIRD!!!!TOO weird for me. I have compromised immunity. I had to toss it. $4 down the drain.
Love this book! The paper is nice and thick, and I enjoy the perfect square. A lot of great knotwork pictures and I'm a bit of an Irish snob so I was pleasantly surprised with the few pictures of Ireland's 'icons' this book will keep me busy for a good amount of time. I'll be ordering more books in the future.
